Luke Shane Milan dies in fatal Boiling Springs car crash

Fatal Boiling Springs car crash death of Luke Shane Milan – Obituary

Luke Shane Milan, 31, of Chesnee, South Carolina, was tragically killed early Tuesday morning in a crash on Old Furnace Road in Boiling Springs.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Milan was driving a 1998 Honda Sedan eastbound when the vehicle veered off the right shoulder near Sugar Ridge Road around 6:02 a.m. Authorities say he overcorrected, crossed the center line, and was struck on the passenger side by a westbound 2021 Toyota pickup.

Emergency responders pronounced Milan dead at the scene, with the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office listing his time of death as 6:14 a.m.

The section of road between Sugar Ridge and Elmwood was temporarily closed as crews responded and cleared the scene. It reopened to traffic around 8:45 a.m.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
