Fatal Tangipahoa Parish crash death of Shellie J. Taylor – Obituary

Shellie J. Taylor, 20, tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle accident on Louisiana Highway 1054 near Union Church Road in Tangipahoa Parish on Saturday night.

Taylor, a resident of Amite, was driving a 2025 Kia Sorento southbound when she failed to navigate a left curve, causing the vehicle to leave the road, crash into a utility pole, and hit a tree.

Despite being properly restrained, Taylor suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she later died. A toxicology report was collected as part of the ongoing investigation by Louisiana State Police Troop L, who continue to examine the circumstances of the crash.
