Daniel Lamar Preston, a 33-year-old Fort Wayne resident, died Saturday evening following a rollover crash on Interstate 469. The Allen County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Preston sustained blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident took place around 6:30 p.m. when his SUV left the roadway and struck a culvert on the ramp leading to Interstate 69. Preston was alone in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

This tragedy marks the 19th traffic-related death in Allen County this year. The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Coroner’s Office, and the County prosecutor’s office.
