Kylon Calais, 20, lost his life following a violent encounter that broke out after a concert in Scott, Louisiana, early Saturday morning.

Authorities from the Scott Police Department reported that multiple fights began at a local nightclub once the concert ended. The conflict spilled over into the parking lot of a gas station in the 200 block of North Ambassador Caffery Parkway, where the violence escalated and gunfire erupted.

Responding officers found Calais with multiple gunshot wounds and tried to provide emergency aid. Despite their efforts, he died from his injuries at the scene. Police later learned that another individual had also been shot and taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle. That person is currently in stable condition.
