Eric Abbott dies in fatal Fresno County motorcycle crash

Fatal Fresno County motorcycle crash death of Eric Abbott – Obituary

Eric Abbott, a 42-year-old man from Visalia, lost his life Sunday evening after crashing his motorcycle into a mountainside in the Sequoia National Forest, Fresno County.

According to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol, Abbott was riding a black Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Highway 180 near Hume Road at around 5:10 p.m. While navigating a curve approximately 2.5 miles east of Hume Road, Abbott failed to make the turn and veered off the road, striking the mountainside.

He was declared dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that Abbott was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is ongoing.
