Fatal Chicago shooting death of Daone K. Feazell – Obituary

Daone K. Feazell was shot and killed late Tuesday night in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood during what police describe as an attempted armed robbery. Authorities say the confrontation took place around 10:48 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Artesian Avenue.

According to investigators, the 36-year-old man Feazell allegedly tried to rob was collecting belongings from his parked vehicle when Feazell approached, brandished a firearm, and demanded valuables. The would-be victim, who holds a valid concealed carry license, responded by drawing his own handgun and firing, striking Feazell multiple times.

Paramedics transported Feazell to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday. The medical examiner’s office has ordered an autopsy; results are pending.

No one else was hurt in the incident, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attempted robbery and shooting.

He was just turning his life around. He was an altar boy and volunteered at a shelter for homeless illegal immigrants. Oh wait, they all get free housing from uncle Sugar. Oh well.
