Guy Woods dies in fatal Leavenworth motorcycle crash

Fatal Leavenworth motorcycle crash death of Guy Woods – Obituary

Guy Woods, a 64-year-old man from Fountain, Colorado, lost his life Saturday evening following a motorcycle collision at a Leavenworth, Kansas intersection.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 6:15 p.m. at the crossroads of South 10th Street and Cherokee Street. Woods was riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson westbound along Cherokee Street when he allegedly did not stop at a posted stop sign. His motorcycle collided with a 2017 Toyota Camry traveling north on South 10th.

Authorities confirmed that Woods was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the Camry sustained what were described as minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
