Allison Eichner, a woman from Connecticut, tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle accident in Northern Ireland on June 11.

The crash occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. in the Causeway Road area of Bushmills, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Emergency responders transported Eichner, who was in her 40s, to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Authorities arrested a 66-year-old woman at the scene, charging her with causing death by reckless driving. She was expected to face court proceedings on June 13.

Eichner, originally from Windsor, was on a special trip to Ireland to connect with her heritage. A GoFundMe campaign set up to support her family has raised over $51,000 to assist with funeral costs and immediate expenses.

Those who knew Eichner described her as a deeply kind and generous person, a devoted wife, and a loving mother whose loss has deeply saddened the community.
