HACKNEY, LONDON — A 44-year-old man was arrested in Hackney on suspicion of murdering a 46-year-old woman after she was found with stab wounds inside a house that experienced a suspected gas explosion early Tuesday morning, June 17.

According to the Metropolitan Police, officers and the London Fire Brigade responded just before 5 a.m. to reports of a blast and a person trapped inside a terraced home on Dumont Road, Stoke Newington. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
