Eddie Hill dies in deadly Oklahoma City police shooting

Fatal Oklahoma City police shooting death of Eddie Hill

Eddie Hill, nearly 42 years old, was fatally shot by Oklahoma City police officers early Monday morning in the 3500 block of SW 17th Street.

Police were responding to a call about a man threatening suicide when officers approached the residence. Hill, who was armed with a knife, opened the door and charged at the nearest officer despite commands to drop the weapon.

As Hill advanced while still holding the knife, officers discharged their firearms, resulting in his critical injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The four officers involved—Marcus Oliveira, Juan Quintana, Isabel Sanroman, and Adam Brown—have between one and two years of service and are currently on routine administrative leave pending investigation.

This marks the third police shooting in Oklahoma City so far in 2025.

Condolences to the family
