Fatal Green Lake car crash death of John “Emmet” Zodrow

Law enforcement officials from Green Lake have officially identified the young boy who was killed when struck by a motor vehicle during a cycling incident earlier this week. The child, known as John “Emmet” Zodrow, was twelve years of age. Corrections to the spelling of his name have been provided by authorities to ensure accuracy.

The accident transpired on the northern portion of Hill Street in Green Lake. At precisely 9:54 a.m., a driver, later confirmed to be Jean Woolley, aged eighty-five and residing in Germantown, attempted to maneuver into a parking spot. In the process, the vehicle inadvertently crossed the curb and collided with the boy, who was on foot on the sidewalk. Mr. Woolley’s car subsequently pinned the child underneath it.

Mr. Zodrow suffered critical injuries as a result of the collision. Emergency medical services transported him to SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital; however, he did not survive the injuries. The incident is currently being examined by law enforcement agencies.

Note: This report incorporates the corrected spelling of the child’s name, replacing an earlier inaccuracy provided by authorities. The child’s identity has been confirmed, and the accident is ongoing.
