The surviving family member, the family’s 20-year-old daughter Evan McKellar, is reported to be in critical condition and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Her recovery requires significant medical attention.

Investigators are examining the incident, which happened on a Saturday, and have indicated that a commercial truck driver, whose name is Alexis Osmani Gonzalez-Companioni, a 27-year-old, was reportedly asleep at the wheel.
