Fatal Antelope Acres car crash death of Ruby Gabriel
The Medical Examiner’s office issued statements on Saturday identifying three individuals who lost their lives after being thrown from a pickup truck. The involved vehicles collided in Antelope Acres. The three victims pronounced deceased at the scene were identified as 38-year-old Vanessa Gonzalez-Gabriel, 49-year-old Abdias Gabriel-Fernandez, and 12-year-old Ruby Gabriel.
According to the California Highway Patrol report, the accident happened at 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of state Route 138 (West Avenue D) and 110th Street West. The official details indicate the Chevrolet Colorado involved accelerated from a stop sign before entering the path of the Dodge Ram 3500.
A second juvenile passenger from the Colorado pickup was transported by ambulance to Antelope Valley Medical Center and immediately taken into surgery. The driver of the Dodge Ram 3500 received treatment for minor injuries at the same medical facility.
The law enforcement agency stated the crash was captured on video footage from a nearby vehicle. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that no criminal charges will be filed in connection with this tragic incident.
