San Antonio, TX Man Richard Cervera Arrested in Northwest Side Motel Shooting
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS  Richard Cervera, a 25-year-old resident of San Antonio, was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Northwest Side motel earlier this week.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, Cervera was taken into custody on Tuesday near Alamo Downs Parkway, less than 15 minutes after officers responded to reports of gunfire at a motel in the 7100 block of Northwest Loop 410. Authorities say the shooting occurred shortly before 10 a.m. and left a 53-year-old manâ€â€Âlater confirmed to be Cervera’s uncleâ€â€Âdead from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
A witness reported hearing arguing, fighting, and multiple gunshots before seeing suspects flee the scene. One woman reportedly left in the victim’s car. Police later tracked that vehicle and another possible suspect car to a home on Rita Avenue, where they executed search warrants and questioned multiple individuals. Those individuals were later released.
Cervera was transported to the Bexar County Jail and is currently facing a murder charge in connection with the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
