Fatal Greene County car crash death of Stephen Keele, Tejaswini Cholleti, Sri Bejugam

A devastating accident on Interstate 59/20 in Greene County, Alabama, claimed five lives, including two young children, following a head-on collision late on the night of July 5.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the deadly two-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m., approximately seven miles south of Eutaw. A pickup truck and a minivan collided, and both vehicles caught fire after the impact.

Authorities confirmed that the drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. The minivan was carrying additional passengers, including one adult and two children, all of whom also perished in the crash.

The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Stephen Keele of Ellisville, Mississippi, who was driving the pickup truck; 36-year-old Tejaswini Cholleti of Aubrey, Texas, the driver of the minivan; and 40-year-old Sri Bejugam, also from Aubrey, Texas, who was a passenger in the minivan. Two children, aged 6 and 8, both from Aubrey, Texas, were also killed.

Troopers from the Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic collision.
