Savannah authorities officially identified the individual who lost his life in the early morning single-vehicle accident on Shamrock Road as Durvin Norales Mejia. The 31-year-old Honduran citizen, registered to live in the Cayman Islands, was operating a Honda Fit at the time of the incident on Monday, July 28th. Mejia’s vehicle departed the roadway and collided with a tree, resulting in his death at the location. Medical personnel transported three other individuals involved in the accident to hospital facilities, with one person’s condition described as critical upon arrival.

Police officials have stated they have not provided further information regarding the collision incident. The agency has also not confirmed the identity of the individual who died in a separate accident occurring later that same night. This second fatality happened when a motorcyclist traveling on Linford Pearson Highway lost control of their bike and crashed into trees around 11:00 PM on Sunday, July 27th.
