Fatal Monterey County car crash death of Eudoro Moya Jr.

California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a young driver that happened Tuesday evening. According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 9:57 p.m. on Reservation Road, located just south of Blanco.

Law enforcement indicates a sixteen-year-old male from Seaside was driving a vehicle southbound on Reservation Road when he collided with a pedestrian who was also in the southbound lane. The pedestrian, later identified by authorities as Eudoro Moya Jr., a resident of Marina who was thirty-five years old, was pronounced deceased at the scene because of his injuries.

The minor driver remained at the location and was reported to be without injuries by the California Highway Patrol. It is currently unknown if the driver held a valid license. Officials also noted that the driver was not initially suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, though there is no available information regarding the pedestrian’s condition or potential influence at the time of the accident.

This incident is currently being treated as an active investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
