The St. Joseph Police Department confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life following a traffic accident on the southbound exit ramp from Interstate 229 leading to Felix Street.

According to information released by the SJPD, the deceased was identified as Kevin Miller, a 58-year-old male employed as a truck driver. Reports indicate he was originally from Florida but had made California his current place of residence.

Law enforcement personnel arrived at the accident location on Thursday at precisely 5:47 p.m.

During the collision involving the semi-trailer truck, Mr. Miller was forcibly ejected from his vehicle. Medical personnel transported him to Mosaic Life Care, but his injuries were ultimately declared to be life-threatening.

The Traffic Unit from the St. Joseph Police Department is currently examining the incident to determine the underlying cause of the accident.
