Fatal Dekalb County shooting death of Deonte Brown

Local law enforcement confirmed the tragic passing of Deonte Brown, an 18-year-old male, following a fatal incident. Brown was discovered slumped over inside a vehicle parked near a residence in Dekalb County.

Police officials cited firearm-related injuries as the cause of Brown’s death, which occurred on July 24th. The young man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Further investigation led authorities to identify the individual inside the vehicle as Deonte Brown. He was 18 years of age at the time of the incident.

A juvenile suspect, currently 14 years old, is being processed through the legal system. Charges filed against this minor include premeditated homicide and the crime of robbery, both involving the use of a weapon. The minor’s identity has not been disclosed to the public.
