Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the Midwest Training and Ice Center in St. John around 10 p.m. on Friday after reports of an individual in an unresponsive state. Upon arrival, the responding team discovered that onlookers had already begun administering CPR to the man, who was later confirmed to be Det. Aaron Amptmeyer.
