A law enforcement official from the South Carolina Highway Patrol shared information about the fatal accident that transpired in the early hours of the morning on South Lake Drive, situated close to Daralynn Drive. The incident was reported to have taken place around 1:00 a.m. time.

According to details provided, the vehicle involved was a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling in the eastern direction on South Lake Drive. It abruptly left the roadway and struck a culvert, resulting in the tragic outcome.

Following this accident, officials from the Lexington County Coroner’s office, led by Margaret Fisher, officially announced that the deceased person was identified as Aaron Blake Smoak. He was reported to be 33 years old and from Pelion. Upon arrival, the coroner confirmed that Mr. Smoak had passed away at the location of the crash and was seen wearing a helmet.
