William Sacher dies in fatal Wheatfield farming accident

Fatal Wheatfield farming accident death of William Sacher

A 67-year-old man, identified as William Sacher of Wheatfield, lost his life in a farming mishap, authorities reported Friday.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office was notified around 10:49 a.m. on August 8th after receiving a 911 call about an individual who was unresponsive and trapped under agricultural machinery. Family members arrived at the scene first and managed to free the man before medical responders were dispatched.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived quickly and provided immediate life-saving treatment. Emergency medical services and fire crews then took over the scene. Despite these efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the location. The ongoing investigation is being handled by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.
