Law enforcement officials have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life following a serious head-on collision that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Town of Hartland. The incident took place along Route 12 near Cobb Hill Road.

Vermont authorities detailed the accident, involving a southbound 35-year-old Toyota Rav4 operator, identified as Jamison O’Neil of Hartland. His vehicle collided directly with a northbound pickup truck. Paramedics pronounced O’Neil deceased at the crash location.

The other driver of the pickup truck, Joseph Petrone, age 77, and his passenger sustained serious injuries. Emergency services transported both individuals to a hospital for treatment.

State Police have stated they are still investigating the cause of this accident, seeking information from potential witnesses who observed the collision.
