Fatal Fulton County car crash death of McKenzie White

A fatal car accident occurred in Franklin Township on Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and four others injured. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the incident began when the driver of a car failed to stop properly at an intersection involving two main roads.

Fayette, Ohio – A deadly crash in Fulton County on Sunday morning resulted in the death of one individual and serious injuries for four others. The two-vehicle collision took place around 8:40 a.m. in Franklin Township near Fayette.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident began when Dustin Wood, from Bryan, failed to stop at a stop sign. Wood was driving east on County Road L when he did not yield the right of way at the intersection with State Route 66.

His vehicle then collided with an SUV being driven by 30-year-old McKenzie White from Louisville, Kentucky, who was traveling south on State Route 66. White died at the scene of the crash.

The occupants of Wood’s car included his passenger, Deadra Wood, also from Bryan, and a 16-year-old passenger. All three were transported to a Toledo hospital with serious injuries, although the teenager’s condition was not considered life-threatening.

A passenger in White’s SUV, Margaret Arnsby, who was 30 years old and from Cincinnati, was also taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

A local representative from Franklin Township, who asked to remain anonymous, mentioned that visibility issues at the intersection have been noted before. However, the exact factors contributing to the crash are currently unknown.

As a result of the collision, a power pole was knocked down, causing a power outage in the vicinity. Traffic control measures were necessary, and the intersection was closed temporarily while emergency crews worked.

Emergency response involved personnel from Fayette, Archbold, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
