According to the Clarksville Police Department, a 90-year-old Clarksville man lost his life in a traffic accident occurring on Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened just before 2 p.m. on Memorial Drive close to the intersection with Rushton Lane.
The driver of the vehicle, William Knight, who was 90 and from Clarksville, was not expected to survive after the collision. His two female passengers were transported by air to a hospital located in Nashville. One of them is reported to be in critical but stable health, while the other is described as being in stable condition at the medical facility.
Preliminary information gathered by police indicates that the other car involved in the accident entered the lane occupied by Knight’s vehicle.
