Fatal Waterbury motorcycle crash death of Dennis Barriera

Waterbury law enforcement officials have officially announced the identity of the local man who lost his life when a motorcycle collision occurred at a city intersection on Tuesday afternoon. According to information released by Waterbury police on Thursday, the individual who was killed was identified as Dennis Barriera, who was 41 years old.

The incident, which resulted in a fatality, involved another automobile and happened at the intersection of East Main Street and Baldwin Avenue shortly after 5 in the afternoon on Tuesday. Spokesperson Lieutenant Ryan Bessette indicated that Barriera, who was operating the motorcycle, was transported to a medical facility following the accident but unfortunately passed away at a later time. The individual driving the other vehicle involved in the incident was not harmed and stayed at the scene.

Bessette confirmed that the department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
