Blair Sawyer Passed Away In A Tragic East Louisville Hit-And-Run Incident
Fatal Louisville hit-and-run death of Blair Sawyer
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the man killed in the east Louisville collision which occurred on Monday.
Law enforcement arrived at the intersection of Chamberlain Lane and Chamberlain Court shortly after 9:45 p.m. concerning a bicycle collision.
Upon their arrival, officers found 27-year-old Blair Sawyer, who was discovered after being struck while cycling. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, transporting him to the hospital, but his injuries proved fatal shortly after arrival.
Preliminary reports indicate the incident happened when a motorist entered the intersection and collided with Mr. Sawyer’s bicycle. The involved driver did not remain at the scene.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Division is currently examining this incident as a hit-and-run.
Investigators have not yet released any information regarding the motorist or the type of vehicle involved.
