Two individuals lost their lives following separate gun incidents reported in Dayton on Wednesday evening, according to reports. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed that both Joseph Brandenburg, aged 48, and Deelaquan Smith, aged 23, were pronounced deceased at Miami Valley Hospital.
The initial incident occurred in the early evening. Reports indicated a shooting around 6:35 p.m. in the first block of Lombard Avenue. Sheldon added that detectives located a potential suspect and interviewed them. Authorities recovered several firearms and numerous shell casings as evidence during the investigation.
Approximately five hours later, emergency services responded to a second shooting call.
