Fatal Barrie dismemberment deaths of William (Blake) Robinson, 45, and David Cheesequay, 41
Police in the Barrie area have arrested a man following reports that two individuals were killed and dismembered. The investigation was initiated after receiving a missing person report earlier this year.
Officers conducted searches at multiple sites, including a property in Huntsville, a residence in North Simcoe County, and a wooded area in Barrie known for a significant homeless encampment. The suspect, who was initially apprehended in early August, now faces additional charges after police collected human remains and interviewed witnesses connected to the two fatalities.
The identities of the deceased have been confirmed as 45-year-old William (Blake) Robinson and 41-year-old David Cheesequay. Barrie police have charged a 52-year-old man with multiple offenses, including first and second-degree murder and two counts of indignity to a dead body.
The suspect is also being accused of firearms and drug trafficking violations, as well as theft. He is currently held in custody and has a scheduled bail hearing.
