Carolyn Pain has died following a car crash in central Phoenix.

Phoenix authorities reported that emergency services were dispatched to the area around 9:30 PM on Saturday following a collision. Responders found a woman in serious condition after being struck by a tow truck while crossing Northern Avenue. Medical personnel transported her to a local hospital, but her condition deteriorated, resulting in her death.

Sunday morning brought the revelation that the victim was 92-year-old Carolyn Pain. According to police, Pain was proceeding northbound on 7th Avenue when she attempted to turn left onto Northern Avenue. In an intersection crash, she was struck by a tow truck driver who was also heading northbound.

All individuals in the tow truck, including the operator and two passengers—a teenager and an infant—were assessed by emergency medical technicians. They were reported to be uninjured and did not require medical attention.

Investigators are currently examining the incident but have indicated that they do not suspect any impairment was involved in the collision.
