Tarrant County authorities have confirmed that Rossana Cacal, a 58-year-old individual known professionally as a chef at The Chestnut Tree restaurant in Denton, passed away in a vehicle collision that occurred on Friday evening in Denton. The preliminary findings from the Denton Police suggest that the vehicle Cacal was a passenger in failed to yield the correct right of way while navigating a turn at the intersection of West Windsor Drive and Northway, leading to a collision with another car.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash is identified as 22-year-old Noah Kendrick. Medical professionals declared Cacal deceased shortly after her arrival at the hospital at 10:56 p.m., following her transfer from the crash scene. An investigation is underway, and it has been reported that Kendrick was subsequently arrested for charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and intoxication manslaughter related to the vehicle accident. Cacal is remembered as leaving behind a family consisting of several children and grandchildren.
