Fatal Washington County car crash death of Jenna Slagle

A 33-year-old female passed away in a serious all-terrain vehicle mishap on Sunday morning in Washington County. The individual, Jenna Slagle, was identified as a resident of Marinna by the Washington County Coroner.

The accident occurred before 2 a.m. on Sunday in West Bethlehem Township, according to the official investigator. Slagle was a secondary rider in a recreational vehicle that lost control on private land situated near Field and Stream Club Road and Lawry Lane. The vehicle overturned and settled in a ditch as a result.

Slagle did not have a seatbelt or safety device secured, and she was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the location around 3:15 a.m. by emergency responders.

The cause of her death is still under review and requires an autopsy, while the manner of death is pending further examination and investigation, as per the county medical examiner.

State police are actively probing the incident to determine all contributing factors.
