Fatal Takoma Park shooting death of Victor Bastardo Reyes

Prince George’s County law enforcement officials are examining the circumstances surrounding a deadly shooting incident that took place in the Takoma Park area on Sunday. Detectives from the homicide unit are actively pursuing leads.

The individual, Victor Bastardo Reyes, who was 20 years of age, sustained serious gunshot injuries during the incident which occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Details indicate the event happened in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue. According to reports, a police officer located Mr. Reyes in the street, and emergency medical services responded, transporting him to a nearby medical facility. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

At this time, authorities have not identified any suspects and have not released any descriptions regarding the individuals responsible for the fatal act. The origin of the shooting and possible reasons behind it are still being evaluated by investigators.
