Fatal Montauk homicide death of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra

Homicide investigators from Long Island are examining the circumstances after a woman hailing from Manhattan was located deceased aboard a vessel in Suffolk County.

Responding to a 911 alert from a male regarding a woman without responsiveness, East Hampton authorities were dispatched to a boat situated at the Montauk Yacht Club, on Star Island Road in Montauk, around the stroke of midnight on Tuesday. Good Samaritans attempted to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the woman.

Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a 33-year-old resident of Manhattan, was confirmed deceased by emergency medical personnel while still on the boat.

As of now, there is no information available regarding who identified her body or who initiated the police notification.

Preliminary investigative measures and a basic medical assessment did not yield a determination concerning the reason for her death. Further examination to establish the cause of death will be completed by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
