Fatal Orange Walk stabbing death of Esthel Trapp
Fifty-six-year-old Eugene Ramirez is currently being held by law enforcement authorities following an alleged confession concerning the homicide of an elderly female individual, whose name has been identified as Esthel Trapp. Law enforcement personnel discovered the woman’s body this morning; her head and facial region showed clear signs of trauma.
Investigators suspect a metal hammer served as the murder weapon used in this violent act. According to documents filed with the Orange Walk police department, Ramirez reported the crime to the authorities himself. Reliable news sources indicate that the initial contact with police arrived at approximately three this morning, originating from a male individual who stated he had killed a woman following an argument, and also gave his location.
Police forces initially struggled to pinpoint the exact area described by the anonymous caller. However, Ramirez called the Orange Walk police back at 5:30 this morning. Consequently, the officers were then able to find the crime location on the Old Northern Highway, specifically in the section labeled London Road, which is roughly five miles away from Santa Martha Village.
Upon arriving at the site, the officers found Ramirez standing beside the road. He then directed the law enforcement team to a wooden building, where the officers found the body of the woman lying motionless on the floor near a bed, covered by a sheet. Further examination revealed visible injuries to her head and face.
Ramirez reportedly held the position of caretaker for the victim’s farm property. At this time, the police force has not released any formal statement regarding the reasons or the specific conditions that led to this tragic event.
