Law enforcement officials from the Toledo Police Department confirm that a minor is currently incarcerated on charges of homicide after allegedly attacking another minor in Point Place on Saturday evening. According to police reports, a confrontation occurred on Summit Street, which then deteriorated into a stabbing incident occurring shortly before 8:00 p.m. The victim, identified as Xander Epps, who was 14 years old, reportedly fled towards the McDonald’s restaurant located at the intersection of Summit Street and 124th Street. Despite receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital, Xander Epps succumbed to his injuries. The 16-year-old suspect has been apprehended and is being held at the Juvenile Justice Center on homicide charges. It is noted by 13 Action News that minors suspected of criminal activity are not named unless officially processed as adults through the court system.
