Fatal Shelby County car crash death of Jeffrey Crandell

A 42-year-old man from Talladega lost his life in a serious vehicle accident in Shelby County, officials reported. Crandell, who was driving a Nissan 350Z, departed the road and collided with a tree during the incident. Law enforcement stated that Crandell was not secured by a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Due to the impact, he was thrown from the car and was confirmed dead at the scene.

The accident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, specifically around 1:15 a.m., close to Whisper Road on U.S. 231. This tragic event marked the unfortunate end to Crandell’s life. Separately, a pedestrian was killed when a motorcycle collided with them in Trussville.
