The individual killed in the incident involving his twin-engine aircraft, which crashed in a heavily wooded region of Baldwin County, has been confirmed as a Jacksonville, Florida resident named Robert Dluhos. According to information obtained by The Union-Recorder, Mr. Dluhos was 78 years old.
Baldwin County Deputy Coroner Tonja Joiner indicated that the cause of death was attributed to severe injuries resulting from the plane crash. The accident took place around 6:25 p.m. in a forested area situated off the 900 block of Nelson Road. The location of the wreckage was approximately three-quarters of a mile away from the main county road.
Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board arrived on the scene on Sunday afternoon. Their current focus is on determining the precise reasons behind the crash.
