By late afternoon on the twenty-third of August, searchers retrieved the remains of the four-year-old boy, Vincent Miller, from the boat dock at Lake Atwood, as confirmed by Dr. Jeff Cameron. The father, Marcus J. Miller, aged forty-five, was located the next morning around eight-thirty a.m. at the same site. Both sets of remains were recovered from the boat dock at Lake Atwood.

The initial probe indicated the father’s passing was self-inflicted, the investigator stated. Dr. Cameron noted that the official reasons for death are still pending as the inquiry continues. She believed she could walk on water, she believed she and her husband had to pass these tests to show their faith. And when they didn’t, then Vincent became the price to pay for that, the investigator speculated.

What’s next:
The mother, whose identity has not been formally revealed until charges are filed, is currently in a mental health hospital. The investigator mentioned she might face charges by Tuesday at the earliest. The surviving children, a fifteen-year-old and two eighteen-year-olds who were unharmed in the golf cart incident, have been given to family members, the investigator reported.
