Law enforcement officials have named the motorcyclist killed Sunday afternoon. Essex County prosecutors announced that Charles Parisi Jr., aged 72 and residing in Gloucester, was riding his motorcycle on a specific stretch of Route 1A located in Ipswich at approximately 4:00 p.m. when he was involved in a collision with a Dodge pickup truck. Parisi Jr. was confirmed deceased at the crash site.
According to the investigating officers, the operator of the pickup truck, a 49-year-old individual from Lynn, stayed with the scene and is actively working with police authorities.
The collision is currently under examination by multiple agencies, including the Ipswich Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
