Horseshoe Bay authorities reported a severe traffic incident late Tuesday morning involving a pedestrian. Emergency medical services pronounced the individual deceased at the scene located at Tonto and Broken Arrow streets. The 19-year-old victim, identified as Abraham Misael Hernandez, was struck by an automobile during the early morning period of August 23. The pedestrian was a local resident of Horseshoe Bay.
The suspect driver, a 27-year-old man from Austin named Oliver Eve, was apprehended by law enforcement. Wheeler has taken the initiative to support the Hernandez family by organizing an online GoFundMe fundraising campaign.
