Emergency services responded to an incident on the Route 22 Eastbound to Southern Beltway access ramp in Robinson Township on Monday at 3 p.m. Commercial truck operator Brian Everhart, aged 46, was pronounced deceased at the scene. An official from the county’s Office of the Coroner confirmed the fatality.

Investigators identified the victim as Brian Everhart, a 46-year-old individual operating a commercial vehicle on the Route 22 roadway. Following the collision, officials reported that Everhart had exited his vehicle, likely to tend to a mechanical problem, before being involved in the accident with another vehicle.

The responsible party operated a large truck and subsequently drove away from the scene without stopping. This act of leaving the area immediately following the fatality constituted a hit-and-run incident. Authorities have since closed the nearby Route 22 section due to the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
