Fatal Columbus shooting death of Anthony Johnson
When authorities received notification of the gunfire, they responded swiftly to the 600 block of Raleigh Drive, which is situated in the Georgian Heights area, at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the responding officers discovered Anthony Johnson, who was visibly injured by a bullet.
He was immediately taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment, and it was confirmed shortly after that he had passed away at 4:40 p.m.
The perpetrator, recognized as 19-year-old Jordan Austin, was apprehended and formally accused of the crime of murder.
Subsequently, he was charged with an additional count of reckless homicide and another for tampering with evidence.
