Susan Wheeler dies in fatal Anderson County car crash

Fatal Anderson County car crash death of Susan Wheeler

Investigators are now examining the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman who passed away a week after the incident. The fatal accident happened on the evening of August 15th, reported officials.

The collision, described as a rear-end event, took place at the intersection of McGee Road and North Park Drive. Scene personnel noted that one passenger was discovered unresponsive at that time.

The injured occupant was transported to AnMed Medical Center. Following hospital treatment, she was transferred to hospice care. Tragically, she passed away around 3:20 a.m. on the 23rd of August.

Susan Wheeler, who was 83 years old and a resident of Anderson, was identified as the passenger involved in the collision. The coroner’s office reported that her demise was determined to be an accident, resulting from the multiple injuries sustained.

Both the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing their examination of the crash.
