Jackie Spicer dies in fatal Ogletown car crash

Fatal Ogletown car crash death of Jackie Spicer

A 53-year-old man identified as Jackie Spicer lost his life following a collision on Chestnut Hill Road in Ogletown. Delaware State Police confirmed Spicer, from Elkton, Maryland, was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the time of the incident on the evening of August 23rd.

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. as Spicer approached North Kingston Road in the left lane. Simultaneously, a 44-year-old woman from Newark, driver of a Buick LaCrosse, was maneuvering to turn left onto North Kingston Road from Chestnut Hill Road.

The motorcyclist crashed into the rear passenger side of the vehicle during this maneuver, resulting in his ejection and immediate fatality.
