An 18-year-old female driver, identified as Ava Stamets, met her demise when her vehicle collided with two other automobiles on a highway situated in Oxford Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, on the afternoon of Thursday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that Stamets was operating a silver Honda CR-V traveling northbound when she crossed the central median of the roadway near the 63-mile marker, which happened at approximately 2:18 p.m. The Honda CR-V subsequently entered the southbound traffic lanes and impacted a Ford F-150 truck.
According to the troopers, the F-150 driver lost control, veering off the left side of the highway and causing the vehicle to overturn. Stamets’ car then rotated into the southernmost northbound traffic lane and collided with a Ram 1500 pickup truck. Following this collision, both the F-150 and the Ram 1500 departed the roadway, impacting guardrails.

Following the incident, the Ohio Department of Transportation managed traffic flow and closed sections of the road. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has initiated an investigation into the fatal collision.
