Fatal Bismarck car crash death of Tina Valeu and Albert Weber
Authorities have pinpointed the drivers involved in a collision near Bismarck, an event that included a North Dakota university golf team. Tina Valeu, aged 54 and from Mayville, North Dakota, and Albert Weber, who is 95 and from Linton, North Dakota, were among those affected in the crash that happened on Friday, August 29, on Interstate 94 approximately 25 miles east of Bismarck, as stated in a news release. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Weber was driving a 2017 Ford F150 eastbound on the highway when he attempted to reverse at a median crossover, while Valeu tried to overtake him in her 2021 Chevrolet Express Van. The van collided with the pickup truck, and the injured individuals were transported to CHI St. Alexius hospital in Bismarck. Troopers mentioned that the crash reduced eastbound traffic on I-94 to one lane. The news release did not name the other passenger in Valeu’s van, but indicated that they are part of the Mayville State University golf team. The Highway Patrol is examining potential charges against Weber. Mayville State University identifies Valeu as a human resources coordinator for the institution.
