Fatal Savannah shooting death of Frederick Hampton Jr.
Emergency services responded to Rogers Street on Saturday night after receiving a dispatch indicating a disturbance. The responding officers discovered the body and confirmed the individual was deceased at the scene. On Tuesday, the Chatham County Corporation Council identified the victim as 26-year-old Frederick Hampton Jr. The office pronounced him dead shortly after the incident occurred. As of now, the investigation is ongoing and no suspects or arrests have been named in connection with this case.
