Local authorities have announced that a planned collection of firearms in Columbia will serve as a tribute to the young man who was killed. The Richland County Sheriff’s office stated that officers are actively probing a deadly shooting, with another person receiving medical attention.

According to law enforcement, the fatal shooting happened in the early morning hours of Sunday in the 4300 block of Mellowood Drive. Responding officers arrived following a detection system alert just before 2 a.m.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso outside a residence, as confirmed by authorities. This injured individual was transported to a hospital for treatment.
