A crash report indicated a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Peter W. Bouchard from Okeechobee, was heading north on the Beeline Highway in the left lane.
The document noted that this specific car swerved left and crossed the center divider without explanation.
Simultaneously, a 2024 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck was moving south in the left lane on the Beeline Highway.
Upon the Crown Victoria entering the southbound flow, its front collided with the front of the pickup truck in a head-on impact.
Investigators stated that following the collision, the car moved backward and eventually stopped on a drainage embankment.
The crash report also mentioned that the pickup truck moved a short distance to the south before stopping.
According to the investigators, both Peter W. Bouchard and a passenger in his Crown Victoria, Sue L. Fogg from Fort Pierce, lost their lives in the crash.
